When Total Basement Finishing first got in contact with Charley H. he needed a new home office. He and his wife were expecting their second child and there simply wasn't enough room for all of them! They turned to us looking for a finished basement and a workspace for Charley.

Charley's project was our first paintable panel project and he was definitely a hands on type of guy! He was involved every step of the way and our team formed a very good realtionship with him and his wife!

Though we were under the gun due to Charley's wife's impending due date, we managed to pull off the job with out a hitch. Charley now has a nice, dry, and comfortable space to work and there is enough space for their new addition to the family as well. 

Jill and Isaac had a TON of unused space in their Windham, NH home. 1765 square feet, to be precise! All of that square footage was just begging to be finished and used. Jill envisioned a clean contemporary look, with a comfortable feel. Isaac wanted the space to be an open concept "family zone" that belonged to everyone and could be used anytime for informal activities or relaxation. The couple heard about Total Basement Finishing products and loved that the system was specifically designed for basements. Now Jill and Isaac have the extra space they need, and the couple foresee the space's future use as an in-law apartment. 

Terri and Dan, Salem NH homeowners, were trying to get the most out of their basement. Though the space was completely unfinished, the family had already brought in a ping pong table, set up a shoe and coat rack, and everything was well organized. This homeowner in Salem, NH wanted to transform their basement from a dark and lifeless storage space into an attractive entertainment area for guests (and their pool table!) as well as a home gym.

With the decision to move their parents in their home, our clients in Derry, NH decided to finish their basement in order to take advantage of unused space. Total Basement Finishing was able to finish their space and provide them with a complete In-Law apartment. This included, bedroom, living area, full kitchen and shared laundry room. This new space provided privacy for both children and parents, while allowing the children to care for their parents, if need be.

A young family in Derry, New Hampshire was excited to finish their basement space. The family had a young special need child and wanted to move them into the primary bedroom on the main floor and create a new primary suite in the basement for themselves. Leslie and John are a happy couple from Windham, New Hampshire. Their main goal was to create space for Leslie’s dad who is paralyzed on the left side of his body and is in a wheelchair. Amanda is a woman living in Stratham NH with her 13-year-old daughter. Though she did most of the work herself, she still needed help remodeling and enhancing her basement. TBF was also able to help with new walls and even added a beautiful gas fireplace to heat up her new space.

Krista and Matt are a young couple that live in Plaistow NH. Having two daughters and a busy work schedule, they needed more space for their family to grow. The couple called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to help create the basement of their dreams. TBF was able to transform their basement into a playroom for their children and utilized some of the new space for Matt’s sports memorabilia.

A couple and their two children were excited to finish their basement into home offices. The couple both own their own businesses, so they needed a space away from the rest of the household. Both of their children are also heavily involved with physical activities. Their basement was already partially finished but it needed a refresh, so they called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate. TBF finished their basement with a vinyl system that brought their basement home offices together.

Mike and Pam are a wonderful couple who live in a condo in Londonderry NH. The pair already had a finished office and family room area, but their basement needed upgrades. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate removed the existing carpet with Thermal Dry Elite Plank flooring in Pecan color. TBF also fixed the baseboard with a PVC base and new linen ceiling tiles.

Challenge: A retired couple lives in a beautiful Auburn, New Hampshire house. They have a family business now run by their children and often watch their grandchildren. They have a large, unfinished basement that they would like to finish as extra living space. In addition, they would like a playroom and TV room. This will allow them plenty of space for their grandchildren to stay.

Solution: We created a bathroom with a double bowl vanity and an attached bedroom. We also added a living, kitchen, and dining area. We installed kitchen countertops, cabinets, a sink, and a faucet that they selected and added in our gray Elite Plank in the kitchen. In the rest of the space, we added our pecan Elite Plank. Their driveway allowed for excellent access to this new space, resulting in a large room they didn’t previously have.

This project was for a couple in Hampton, New Hampshire. They were looking to finish their 1500 square foot basement to create an entertainment area and a small gym. We began by using our white Vinyl EverLast wall panel system, with metal studs. We placed decorative post surrounds on their existing posts, and added recessed can lighting. We finished the ceiling with our linen ceiling panels and added ThermalDry flooring. We then added 800 Square Feet of electrical baseboard heating and a SaniDry system to keep the space clean and dry. 

Challenge: A couple living in Methuen, Massachusetts, has owned a cottage at the beach for many years. Over a year ago, they made the decision to sell their Methuen home and move into their Seabrook cottage. The cottage, however, needs some significant renovations. They have spent the last year and a half decorating and refurnishing the space, but now they want to finish their basement as well to give their grandchildren a place to play and watch TV with them. The current space is completely unfinished and will need a lot of work.

Solution:  We installed our linen ceiling tiles, a Pecan Elite Plank floor, and our most popular vinyl everlast perimeter walls. We applied panels to the surrounding walls for the stairwell leading down to the basement and capped the stairwells with PVC caps. Next, we added baseboard heating and a SaniDry system to keep the space warm, dry, and comfortable. We added decorative post surrounds to make the posts match the rest of the finished space. This created a cohesive basement where the homeowners’ grandchildren could play, which they are very excited to begin using.

In a house in Fremont, we added three rooms into an unfinished basement. Each room had 2 X 2-foot linen ceiling tiles, boxing out ducts around existing pipes, and a white EverLast wall system. We added a SaniDry air system to reduce humidity in the rooms. We added electric baseboard heat, 6-panel primed doors, and white trim around the room. In the room we made into an office and the other that became a playroom, we added decorative surrounds around the existing posts. Finally, we added our ElitePlank flooring. This resulted in a clean, warm, well-lit space in the newly finished basement.
