A Westford, MA homeowner had a half finished basement. The family felt that the basement was usable... but only sort of. The space had musty carpets and no ceiling. The family wanted to spend time in finished rooms that weren't musty! Total Basement Finishing finished their basement beautifully. The musty carpet was replaced with one of our favorite products, the beautiful faux parquet floor. This vinyl tile looks just like real hardwood, but (unlike hardwood) it's safe for basements. 

A nice couple in Westford, Massachusetts, decided to finish their basement. To balance the budget and the desired functionality of this project, the homeowners decided to finish half of the space, leaving the remainder for storage.   Around the perimeter, we used our inorganic vinyl EverLast wall panel system in white. Their existing doors were relatively new, so we left these, replacing only the doorknobs. We finished their ceiling with our 2 X 2-foot linen ceiling tiles and replaced their outlets, light switches, and jacks. We also added recessed can lighting throughout the space. Finally, we added MillCreek flooring in natural oak, leaving them with a sizeable addition to the square footage of their home.

Thomas and Venessa are a nice couple with two boys. The family lives in a beautiful home in Nashua NH. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, turned the families unfinished basement into a gorgeous play area for their children.  

Challenge: A couple living in Wayland, Massachusetts, have young children. The wife has a clear vision for her home, but no way to make it into a reality on her own. With her basement unfinished, it's the best opportunity to create a second living space.   Solution: We made an area for storage under the stairs for both the couple and their children, and made a small room to enclose their heating unit. We added white painted walls, and added three EverLast windows to encourage more light tin the space. This created the living space they wanted and gave their children space to play.

A family in Wayland, Massachusetts, decided to use our company to finish their basement. Previously, it was split into four sections, with one farthest from the stairs containing utilities. We finished three of these sections with our Everlast wall system, leaving the furthest corner for storage and utilities. We also added all new six-panel primed double doors and doorknobs to the space.    In the section containing the stairs to the first level, there was a door leading to the garage. This is where their children entered the house after school, so we added open railings and built benches, shelving, and seating. This resulted in an area for additional clean storage and new space for their children to hang their coats and book bags. 

These homeowners have lived in their home in Bedford NH for over twenty years. When they started experiencing water damage and minor flooding in their basement, they decided it was time to act and fix the problem. The happy couple called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to determine what the issue was, prevent it in the future, and ensure their basement was finished into a livable space. Challenge: Not every great project is a big project. In the case of a family in Concord, Massachusetts, their basement had already been finished. This customer found our flooring products and immediately loved the quality and warranties that came with them. His basement was originally finished with carpet, which could have eventually been susceptible to mold and mildew. To avoid this, the customer thought ahead and found Total Basement Finishing, A Blackdog Affiliate.   Solution: We began this project by pulling up the carpeting that had been installed when the basement was previously finished. It wasn’t glued to the floor, which made removal quick and easy. In addition to installing our ElitePlank Flooring, we also finished a section of wall between the exterior door and bulkhead, which hadn’t been done before. The client was very happy knowing he had basement flooring to survive future flooding.

A Chelmsford, MA family live in a beautiful 1980s home with their son. Due to the lack of space in their home, they decided it was time to repurpose their basement and finish it into livable space. The family wanted to turn their unorganized, messy basement into a beautiful living/study area for their son, including a storage area for his hockey equipment. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate was able to create a unique apartment for their son, making the home less cramped and the family happy.

Drew, a Carlisle homeowner, wanted to refinish his basement. He already had a semi finished basement, but wasn't too pleased with it. He was using the space as a home gym, but the ceiling was open, the floors had mold spots, and electrical was exposed. Drew was also experiencing water issues, and wanted to use materials that could withstand moisture. We started working with Drew to build his home gym and office space. Since our materials are designed specifically for basements, Drew doesn't have to worry about musty smells while he was working and working out. Now Drew has the space he needs to be productive in his home. 

A Litchfield family was looking for a little more space for their kids. They wanted to add a playroom and guest bedroom to their basement, but they were worried about the damp conditions. A family friend had recently finished their basement, and lost their entire investment when the space flooded. Since Total Basement Finishing is made for damp humid environments, this Litchfield family was able to add more space, without worrying about costly water damage.
