Ping and Tong Ji called us with a simple request, they wanted their ugly basement to go away. When we met with the Hudson, NH couple, we were surprised, their basement wasn't finished, but it was spotlessly clean and well organized. The couple wanted to finish their basement to make it a more beautiful and welcoming space. There's something about exposed insulation that just doesn't make one feel comfortable and at ease. Ping and Tong Ji still wanted to use their basement for storage and organization, but they didn't want to dread walking downstairs. Now, the space is perfect for them. The walls are wipe able, the floor is easy to clean, and everything is resistant to mold and mildew. We were pleased to take all the ugly out of Ping and Tong Ji's basement!

Noelle, a Hudson NH homeowner, had an amazing idea. She wanted to relocate her home office into her home's walk-out basement. She also wanted to connect the master bedroom to her home office through a spiral staircase! Noelle will now have the quickest, and most glamorous, commute ever!

Living in a development home in Hudson, NH, a homeowner and her two had been using the space as a playroom. The homeowner was moving her elderly mother into the home, and needed to create an additional bedroom in the space. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, was able to turn their basement into a space with beautiful Elite Plank flooring in grey, add a full bath, and create a bedroom perfect for the growing family.

A woman from Hudson, NH needed some TLC for her basement space. After repairing existing water damage, she contacted Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to turn her basement into a livable area. TBF removed the wall attached to the bottom of the staircase to create an open living plan and installed a closet to create more storage. TBF also removed her existing ceilings and fake beams, and replaced it with a beautiful, modern, linen ceiling.

Many people see their unfinished basements as wasted space, if you don't already have windows in the basement, you can't create a new bedroom due to building codes... right? Wrong! David, a Chelmsford homeowner, really wanted to add more value to his home. Since almost nothing adds value like an extra bedroom, David was set on creating that space in his basement. We were prepared and there to help! Now David has his basement bedroom, and because it has an egress window, it's completely to code!

Mold and water damage have been an age-old problem when it comes to basements, and sadly, this held true for our clients in Chelstard, MA. These clients had experienced significant mold and water damage which created structural problems in the walls and floor, as well as sagging ceiling tiles. Total Basement Finishing was able to completely transform the basement by first restoring the walls and flooring, and then by installing Everlast Elite Planking and linen ceiling tiles. Between working from home, and their children attending school virtually, this young family in Chelmsford, MA needed more space. As space was tight, they decided it was time to transform their basement and add an extra office, a media room, and a child’s play area. Ryan F. found our Total Basement Finishing website with the hopes of remodeling his basement. He called shortly after visiting our website and we set up an appointment for John to go out and look at the space. Ryan said that they had lived in the house for seven years, but their basement was completely unfinished. Their kids were getting old enough where they needed a place to play, but things in Ryan's house were a little bit cramped. They had tried to make due for a long time with this unfinished basement. This project called for a total basement remodel. These homeowners from Lowell, MA wanted to completely transform their basement space. They wanted three separate things done to their basement including a gym, a cat play area, and a family/entertaining space. Further, TBF created a cubby under the stairs for their cat to play in and even installed motion censored lights so the cat can see where it plays. For their gym area, TBF was able to create a space the couple could workout in. The entertaining and dining area is now perfect for them to host their friends and family!

The couple was lucky, their basement was pretty dry, they didn't ever have water issues! But one wet spring can create a problem, Yolanda and Juan wanted a basement they could count on, just in case things got damper than usual.
