Jill and Isaac had a TON of unused space in their Windham, NH home. 1765 square feet, to be precise! All of that square footage was just begging to be finished and used. Jill envisioned a clean contemporary look, with a comfortable feel. Isaac wanted the space to be an open concept "family zone" that belonged to everyone and could be used anytime for informal activities or relaxation. The couple heard about Total Basement Finishing products and loved that the system was specifically designed for basements. Now Jill and Isaac have the extra space they need, and the couple foresee the space's future use as an in-law apartment. 

Our clients in Windham believe in the power of music. They wanted to give their son the space to make music and explore his creative passion. A home music studio can take up a ton of space. Since our clients did not want to sacrifice their upstairs living space, they decided to finish their basement. They tasked Total Basement Finishing with making room for their son to follow his dreams. We were only too happy to oblige. Now our clients have a beautiful new basement with plenty of room for creativity!

Leslie and John are a happy couple from Windham, New Hampshire. Their main goal was to create space for Leslie’s dad who is paralyzed on the left side of his body and is in a wheelchair. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, installed an ADA bathroom as well as a finished family room. TBF also set up electric heat and added a snack bar area with a sink. 

Challenge: A man who works in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has a home in Burlington, Massachusetts. Although he works long hours, in his free time, he likes to use his basement to work out. His basement was previously finished, but it’s damp and cold due to a lack of insulation. The old windows that look out under their deck are older and make it more difficult for the basement to retain heat.   Solution: To make this space into a well-insulated workout space, we started by adding a linen drop ceiling with LED lights. We then added our paintable EverLast paneled wall system and replaced his old windows with our own EverLast windows. We put our Grey Elite Plank flooring on the main area and upgraded carpeting on the stairs and risers. The client then painted their walls and doors. When the project was completed, we gave the client new windows that could be opened to let in the fresh air while he was working out. We also gave him a well-insulated, dry space.

A young couple in Tewksbury, MA asked us to finish their basement into an entertainment space specifically for watching their favorite sports teams. We utilized our pre-finished wall system and elite plank flooring for the project.

A family in Tewksbury, MA was having issues with keeping their walk out basement dry, and also wanted to create a finished livable space. Challenge: A retired couple lives in a beautiful Auburn, New Hampshire house. They have a family business now run by their children and often watch their grandchildren. They have a large, unfinished basement that they would like to finish as extra living space. In addition, they would like a playroom and TV room. This will allow them plenty of space for their grandchildren to stay.   Solution: We created a bathroom with a double bowl vanity and an attached bedroom. We also added a living, kitchen, and dining area. We installed kitchen countertops, cabinets, a sink, and a faucet that they selected and added in our gray Elite Plank in the kitchen. In the rest of the space, we added our pecan Elite Plank. Their driveway allowed for excellent access to this new space, resulting in a large room they didn’t previously have.
